Kate Ness, BCBA

Kate has worked in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) for more than a decade. Her employment has taken her across Ontario and more recently across the world, supporting individuals with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.

Kate attended the University of Windsor where she obtained an Honours degree in Psychology. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, Kate acquired a post-graduate certificate in Autism and Behaviour Science from Mohawk College. After several years in the field, Kate returned to further her education by obtaining a Master's of Education from Arizona State University in 2014 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2017. A life long learner, Kate has now started the process of completing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology through Capella University.

In her personal life, Kate enjoys spending her free time exploring new countries or new worlds. She accomplishes this by being an avid reader (owning enough books to have her own library) and a world traveler. She has a goal to visit over 100 countries in her life time. In addition to reading and traveling, Kate loves spending time with her family and friends making life long memories.

Kate is a strong believer in supporting the development of others while respecting individual differences and cultures. While hoping to share her knowledge, experiences and perspectives, she also looks forward to the opportunity to learn from others. Kate truly believes that everyone deserves to be happy and that incorporating ABA into everyday life can help achieve this.

Jennifer Pretorius, BCBA

Jenn has worked in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis(ABA)  for 12 years and began as an instructor therapist working with children with Autism. She went to McMaster University for her undergraduate degree and achieved her Master’s of Education through Arizona State University in 2016. She became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst in 2019.

In her personal life Jenn is a wife and mother to wonderful twin boys. She can be found on or close to the water in the summer months and is likely to be found reading at home during the depths of winter. She enjoys spending time with her family and creating new memories with those closest to her.  During down time you can be sure that she might be doing one of these activities; cooking or baking with her kids, reading fictional novels, watching anything in the Marvel or Star Wars universe and soaking in the sun.

Jenn believes in supporting others to achieve their greatest potential and hopes to be able to share some of her knowledge, experiences and thoughts with others. She wishes to be able to show the world that there are numerous applications of ABA in our everyday lives and that using them in a meaningful way can support your overall happiness.
